Salida Hostel Rooms

We have five guest rooms — four of the private rooms, all with ensuite bathrooms, are located on our quiet upper floor, and our Family Suite/Bunkroom is downstairs and more social. All guests have use of the public spaces, including the outdoor patio and fireplace, front porch, living room and kitchen. For our summer visitors, each room has its own air condition unit, and for our winter guests, our gas fireplaces in each of the upstairs rooms will keep you toasty, each room is guest-controlled by individual thermostats.

Linens are included in all rooms.

Guest review:
“Don’t worry about it being a hostel.. It is more like a bed & breakfast with separate rooms upstairs & 1 room downstairs that is a hostel. Everyone was very polite, quiet & respectful of others. The manager was very welcoming. Comfortable room. Loved the shared kitchen.”

We stayed in one of the second floor hotel rooms. It was very clean and comfortable and had all the facilities you would expect from a swish hotel.Mike on the front desk gave us useful information about Salida. The hostel guests made us welcome to join them in the communal area when we returned after our evening meal in town. The location is quiet but its only a ten minute (very pleasant) walk to the downtown area.

A very cool house turned into an awesome hostel. Late check-in was a breeze. Stayed in the Red Mountain room. The bed was super comfortable and big. Everything was nice and clean that I saw. Will stay again next time I am passing through or visiting Salida.

I loved everything about this sweet hostel. I stayed in one of the private rooms with a private bath, clawfoot tub and all. It was perfect; clean quiet and comfortable. The staff was friendly and the through hikers staying in the hostel were all very nice. The shared spaces like kitchen, patio and living room were all inviting. I'm already planning my next stay here!

Actually, I had inadvertently booked myself into a dorm situation which become clear when I arrived. The clerk was fortunately able to upgrade me to a private room. He was most kind and very helpful on several levels. The room was excellent as was the hostel kitchen available to all. I'd cheerfully stay here again. I'm a seasoned traveler, 70 years old, on my touring motorcycle for this visit. Not my first rodeo. Love the place!

The Salida Hostel is top drawer. Mike was very helpful with local tips during check in. We stayed in one of the private rooms. Everything we needed was there and there are so many personal touches throughout the room. The air conditioner is very quiet and efficient. We will be back. Excellent place, reasonable rate.
